Punta Gallinas and Bahía Hondita

116 kilometers from Cabo de la Vela, the arrival at Punta Gallina and Bahía Hondita lasts approximately 3 hours in summer. Among the scenarios that are worth highlighting in Punta Gallina and Bahía Hondita are three hostels on the banks of the cliffs. Vivid orange colors, surrounded by green mangroves, which contrast with a pure blue sky and the green of the bay sea. With an abundance of seagulls, pelicans, frigates, and gannets.

The visit to the Dunes of Taroa is like the obligation to go to Mass on Sundays for Christians. Not to do so is not to have gone to La Guajira. It is magical, its pink and orange sands, meandering forms and altars. It seems as if God had touched the place with his finger and printed his fingerprint on the ground.
