Similar to coconut, the tamacas grow crowded or grouped, they are of medium size and round. The internal fruit is much smaller than its bark appears, ,and is the one used in different culinary preparations.<\/p>\n<p>In La Guajira this fruit is known as corozo. Which generates a lot of confusion, since, in the rest of the Colombian Caribbean Coast, the corozo is what in our department we know as Jovita de lata.
