Omar Ibn al Khattab Mosque is located in the municipality of Maicao<\/span>,<\/span><\/a>La Guajira, on <\/span>11th street with race 6<\/span>. It is the largest mosque in the entire Colombian territory and is positioned as one of the largest in Latin America. It represents a spiritual refuge for the Arab community<\/span> that lives in this municipality,<\/span>which, despite being far from their lands and culture <\/span>or those of their ancestors,<\/span>keeps alive their faith and devotion to their only God,<\/span> known as Allah. The mosque Omar <\/span>ibn<\/span> al<\/span> Khattab<\/span> is one of the biggest tourist attractions found in Maicao,<\/span>for<\/span> natives and visitors. However,<\/span>,<\/span> it is the most respectable and <\/span>sacred place for Muslims,<\/span> where they raise their prayers<\/span> and prayers to Allah five times a day.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors are allowed, as long as it is not a time for prayer. Before entering the mosque<\/span>,<\/span> Men must wear long pants. Women must cover their<\/span> body and hair<\/span> with a cloak,<\/span>which<\/span> hey supply at the entrance. Men must wear long pants.
